LOVE BETWEEN THE COOKERS

Cooking class dedicated to couples. Targeted recipes for a romantic evening and a menu designed to be cooked for two consisting of a starter, main course and dessert.
The lovers will spend a few hours together in the kitchen and learn to cook lively, colorful and imaginative dishes with the best ingredients that the island of Marettimo and Sicily make available. Many of these ingredients such as aromatic herbs, citrus fruits and vegetables will be collected by the couple, under the supervision of the chef, in the Mediterranean garden and in the vegetable garden of the Residence and then subsequently used in the various preparations.
The course lasts approximately 3 hours.
Maximum participants 8 people.

New exciting appointment under the stars of Sicily: 17 and 18 August we will be at the Marettimo Residence for an exciting astro-weekend under one of the starriest skies in our country, that of the Egadi Islands, characterized by few urban centers present on the three main islands of the archipelago, consequently here you can enjoy a simply surreal celestial show, with high visibility of the Milky Way and deep sky objects (the less lights and urban centers there are, the less light pollution there will be and consequently the quality of the starry sky, especially in areas such as the smaller Italian islands, where the presence of urban centers is less and you are also surrounded by the sea).

In this heavenly context, a short distance from the main town of the island of Marettimo (the wildest and most natural of the Egadi Islands) is the context of the Marettimo Residence, a bright reality of the Egadi panorama, the only hotel structure on the island of the same name. It is an oasis of sustainability, so much so that numerous biocompatible measures have been adopted in the structure such as furnishings with natural materials, the presence of solar panels for heating water, a photovoltaic system with energy storage, an ultraviolet system to purify water, separate waste collection and the commitment to eliminate plastic and single-dose.

The first astronomical observation activity is scheduled for the evening of August 17, with observations of the Moon, Saturn and deep sky objects, both in Italian and English, between 9:30 PM and 12:30 AM. We will also explore distant objects such as the Lyra Ring Nebula, the Hercules Globular Cluster, the Perseus Double Cluster and the Andromeda Galaxy, as well as the Albireo and Mizar Double stars and a tour of the main stars of the summer sky.

On the morning of August 18th, after breakfast (between 9:30 and 11:30) we will go to observe the Sun with a special solar telescope in order to see its sunspots and lateral prominences, while in the evening, again from 21:30, we will go to observe again all the deep sky objects, Saturn and take numerous photos of the Moon and its craters.
